For those unaware, we are personally deeply affected by the rise of Marty Mendoza on social media platforms, primarily TikTok. He is continuously allowed to exploit his son, Marty Jr, diagnosed with Angelman's Syndrome. We financially supported him initially, but when we couldn't continue providing donations, we were met with public shaming and our personal information spread wide for all to see. Females answering his "calls to action" with dissent have been met with vulgarity. Enough is enough.

Our concern is growing over this public figure exploiting his son's condition for financial gain while demonstrating such lack of care. Angelman's Syndrome is a severe neurological condition, often associated with symptoms such as developmental delay, intellectual disability, and epilepsy. It is high time that social media platforms such as TikTok take action and responsibility, addressing how they enable and propagate abusive behaviour through people like Mr Mendoza.

We call on TikTok and all associated social media platforms, asking for immediate investigation and removal of Marty Mendoza's accounts. His abusive tactics have no place in an online community that claims to support positivity and inclusivity.
