Remove Marisol Rangel from Lindsay Unified School District

Remove Marisol Rangel from Lindsay Unified School District
The Issue
Marisol Rangel knew of her husband sexual abusing two girls when they were 5 & 7 years old and failed to report it. Marisol is still married with Alejandro Lira, the pedophile, and supports his ongoing soccer coaching of minor girls.
In our communities, the safety and well-being of our children must always be a top priority, especially within our educational institutions. It has come to light that Marisol Rangel, currently employed by Lindsay Unified School District as a mandated reporter, has failed in her responsibilities. Despite being aware of her husband’s sexual abuse toward family members, she did not fulfill her legal and ethical duty to report these heinous acts.
Mandated reporters are pivotal in protecting children from abuse and neglect. According to state laws, these individuals are legally obligated to report any suspicion of child abuse. Neglecting this duty not only endangers the lives of children but also undermines community trust in our educational systems. Statistics show that timely reporting by mandated reporters significantly reduces the risk of ongoing abuse and increases the likelihood of timely intervention and support for victims.
Marisol Rangel's failure to act is unacceptable and warrants immediate removal from her position. The safety of our children should not be compromised by those who choose to protect abusers rather than the innocent victims. Removing Ms. Rangel from her role will serve as a necessary step in restoring faith in our schools' commitment to child safety.
By signing this petition, you demand accountability and prioritize the welfare of our community's children. Act now to ensure that every child in our district is protected and that all individuals tasked with safeguarding our youth are held to the highest standard. Please join me in urging the Lindsay Unified School District to take prompt action and remove Marisol Rangel from her responsibilities as a mandated reporter. The time to act is now; our children’s safety depends on it.
