Remove lights on route 9

The Issue

This project makes sense and is a great project to remove the lights on route 9 in Middletown.  The project is already funded in the Department of Transportation capital plan so financially everything is in place.  In the main street area, it will reduce vehicles idling (air pollution) and noise pollution from cars honking their horns.  Plus the hours of lost time in productivity sitting in unnecessary traffic. Finally, it is a dangerous part of route 9 with a crash almost daily and a 1 fatality a year.  Sign the petition to help make this part of route 9 safer and cleaner.
