Remove Laketown Wharf Board of directors and Emerald View Management
The Issue
This petition calls for the immediate removal or resignation of Laketown Wharf Condominium Association Board of Directors, Zack Shewmaker, Roy Black, Daniel Payton ,Cheryl Furr, Jeff Johnson,Paul Mussil and Emerald View Management for failure to honor fiduciary responsibilities as evidenced by open deceitful actions and lies told to the LTW owners.These actions and lies range from the obvious neglect of the grounds and the entire resort as a whole.Parking deck structural issues have been left as a non-priority project.
Upwards of a million dollars worth of repairs needed, the refusal to listen to what owners want done, even refusing to ask experts for help. Making changes for self interest rather than whats right for the owners.
Hiring vendors /contractors with self interest and not in the interest of owners, rollover contracts.
President misleading owners of benieit of the $20 million dollars purchase last year.
The self serving lease the President executed for the office space which he walked away from without fulfilling the terms of the lease.Opening business's on site that are not appropriat for our resort, a commercial laundry and a storage barn. Major conflict of interests.
We are facing the possibility of huge Special Assessments due to Parking deck, boardwalk and stairwell in such terrible condition.
Using staff for personal work.
If you speak out or disagree you are bullied and threatened. Do not follow Florida condo bylaws.
Recently on 12/5/2022 a special board meeting was called without notice to many owners, the agenda said Special assessments were to be discussed but rather it was a vote to fire the attorney and to hire a new attorney. The president was asked repeatedly if there was a conflict of interest with the new attorney, answer was NO, asked if he had any dealing or even knew the attorney he said NO. Within hours documents were produced showing this attorney set up the Presidents Legacy Management company, as well as several that he represented Clara Pease. In fact this attorney is listed as agent for the presidents company as well as a few for Clara Pease. Conflict of interest.
Folks together we can ALL make a difference with goals and expectations and goals and accountability, communication, transparancy, and financial responsibility while keeping the property in prime condition to create an environment that owners and guests are proud to come to.
Please consider signing and contributing to the go fund me page which was recently posted. We will use the the money to hire an outside Attorney to help us take back OUR property and build back our investments
