Remove Kneecap from Flow Festival 2025

Cancel Kneecap’s Flow Festival 2025 Performance — No Stage for Hate

We, the undersigned, urge Flow Festival to cancel the scheduled performance of the Irish rap group Kneecap. Their recent rhetoric goes beyond controversy — it amplifies hate, glorifies terrorism, and endangers Jewish communities worldwide.

At Coachella 2025, Kneecap shouted:
“F* ISRAEL”**
“FREE PALESTINE”
“Israel is committing genocide”

These were not spontaneous or symbolic statements. They were deliberate, premeditated, and came months after the world witnessed the October 7th Hamas massacre, where over 1,200 civilians were murdered, including 360 young people at the Nova Music Festival in Israel. Victims were raped, burned alive, or taken hostage.

> Let’s be clear: this wasn’t protest. It was extremist propaganda. And it wasn’t art — it was a rallying cry for hate.

This Is a Pattern — Not a One-Off

Kneecap has a record of promoting extremism:

Calling to “kill your MP” in their lyrics

Public praise for Hezbollah, a designated terrorist group

Social media posts glorifying violence and uprising
👉 See for yourself: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLdZGBKMsSt

This is not “edgy” or rebellious. It is dangerous. Hate speech cloaked in music doesn’t make it any less toxic.

Would You Tolerate This Against Any Other Group?

Imagine a performer screaming:

“F*** BLACK PEOPLE”

“LGBTQ+ GENOCIDE IS JUSTIFIED”

“BURN DOWN MOSQUES”

Would Flow Festival defend it as artistic freedom? Of course not.
So why is antisemitism treated as the exception?

Other Festivals Have Taken Action

Several venues have already dropped Kneecap, including:

Eden Sessions (UK)

Hurricane & Southside (Germany)

Plymouth Pavilions (UK)

They understood what’s at stake. Flow Festival’s continued silence is not neutrality — it is complicity.

Antisemitism Is Not a Performance — It’s a Threat

In 2023, the UK saw over 4,000 antisemitic incidents, a 324% spike after October 7. Across Europe and North America, Jewish schools, synagogues, and families are under increasing threat. Giving hate a microphone at a global music festival normalizes it and emboldens it.

We Demand That Flow Festival:

1. Cancel Kneecap’s 2025 performance

2. Publicly condemn hate speech and extremism of all kinds

3. Affirm that Jewish lives and trauma are not for entertainment

Choose Courage Over Complicity

Flow Festival has a choice:
🎵 To be a platform for inclusion — or a megaphone for hate.
🕊️ To stand with victims of terror — or with those who glorify it.
✡️ To show that Jewish safety matters — equally.
