Remove Judge Supti Bhattacharya from the bench
The Issue
My name is Inga Ayisha Cameron and like many parents, I believed that the justice system is there to serve and protect our children. However, my faith in this system was shattered by a series of decisions made by Judge Supti Bhattacharya. My child was taken from the safe, nurturing environment of their primary residence of 8 years and handed over to the father without due process (notice of a custody hearing), a fair evaluation of what was in the “child's best interests”-an evaluation that has to be done before changing custody. This decision was made without due process, leaving me and my child victims to an unjust and perilous situation.
Unfortunately, my story is not unique. Several other litigants have raised their voices, filing complaints that mirror my own heartbreaking experience. They too complain of being ignored while representing themselves “pro se” and had the same experience when they cited due process concerns and constitutional rights violations. I wish I could say my story was an isolated incident. However, it is deeply troubling that Judge Bhattacharya has consistently ruled in favor of individuals with documented histories of abuse, without considering the emotional and physical welfare of the children involved. Her decisions have caused irreparable harm to families, leaving children vulnerable and frightened.
In family law, the paramount question should be: "What is in the best interest of the child?" Yet, Judge Bhattacharya's judgments have repeatedly failed to uphold this standard. Overwhelming evidence suggests a pattern of favoritism and carelessness that jeopardizes the well-being of the most innocent. This cannot continue.
We demand the immediate removal of Judge Supti Bhattacharya from the bench to ensure that justice is served and that our children are protected from unsafe and unhealthy environments.
