This petition is an attempt to prevent the continued abuse of power of Judge Mabel Johnson Mayfield.  It is well known around the legal community that she is a "bad" judge and her decisions include bias, prejudice, and discrimination.  However, attorneys are hesitant to stand up against her for fear of retaliation by her ruling unfavorably in future cases.  Her methods of rushing or delaying cases as well as ignoring facts of evidence when it doesn’t support her opinion cause economic strain, stress, and harm to many.  

My case in particular is a divorce case that dates back to 2018.  I am still pleading my case to get mathematical errors corrected and get joint custody of my daughter.  It has been a long and grueling process and still no resolution by this judge who constantly delays the hearings after having initially rushed the first trial when I was in the middle of a family emergency.  Each time I appear in front of Judge Mabel Johnson Mayfield she constantly humiliates me by attacking my character for no reason.  She then goes further to side with the other party even when the evidence presented in front of her points differently.  And due to such a one-sided ruling, mediation has not an option since the other side gained everything and the judge stands by this.  I kindly ask that you sign my petition to remove Mabel Johnson Mayfield so that justice can be served in Berrien County for myself and to protect others from a judge that uses bias in her decision making.
