Remove Ineffective HOA Board Members in Mariner’s Pointe, Southport, NC
The Issue
Living in Southport, NC was a dream come true until the current Mariners Pointe Homeowners Association (HOA) board members turned it into a financial and aesthetic nightmare. As residents, we take pride in our neighborhood and hold dear the vision we all signed up for. But the board's failure to fulfill their duties is eroding that vision and driving up unnecessary costs.
HOA dues have been increasing excessively without clear justification. What are these additional funds supporting? Why does the community not see any real improvement in return? Instead, the community faces delays, ignored requests and unmet promises, while our contributions keep climbing.
Furthermore, the integrity of our bylaws has been compromised. Regular inspections and maintenance are neglected, and the overall appearance of our neighborhood is declining. The lush landscapes and colorful homes that once defined Mariner’s Pointe are becoming overgrown and unkept. These are all responsibilities the HOA broad pledged to manage effectively.
Homeowners are left questioning the board's transparency and sincerity towards fulfilling their obligations. Meetings are infrequent, communication is poor, and important decisions are often made without adequate consultation with the community.
We are calling for an immediate removal of the current board members who have consistently failed to meet their obligations and a restructuring of the HOA leadership. This change will not only reinstate trustworthy and responsible governance but will also provide the transparency and accountability that is long overdue.
Every resident deserves to see their community flourishing, not declining. We urge all Mariner’s Pointe residents to join this movement. Stand up for a fairer, more transparent HOA that respects our investments and enhances the beauty and value of our neighborhood.
