As an avid user of Instagram, I've noticed a drastic shift in the quality of interactions in the Reels comment section due to a new feature – image uploads. This change was perhaps intended to increase engagement and allow users to express themselves more robustly, but unfortunately, it has had the opposite effect. It's become a gateway for the spread of gore, graphic, explicit material, and irrelevant spam. More often than not, Many user's experience browsing Reels is interrupted by alarming images that are both disturbing and entirely unrelated to the content People intended to enjoy.

The extreme use of objectionable content in recent comment sections is a serious issue that requires immediate attention from Instagram. This change has converted what was once a space for genuine interaction and fun into a minefield of offensive and harmful visuals. Instagram users are exposed to graphic images without warning, and this kind of exposure can be detrimental, especially for younger audiences who rely on Instagram for entertainment and community.

The solution is simple: remove the option to upload images in the Instagram Reels comment section while keeping the Traditional Text Based Comments and GIFs.
