The purpose of this petition is to seek the recall of Ironwood Crossing board member Mike Demaree.

Since being elected to the board, Mike has engaged in a pattern of condescending behavior towards the other board members and property owners in attendance at board meetings, and, in at least once instance, has acted in his own self-interests, voting to deny one property owner compensation for damages, and later advancing a claim of his own for damages of a very similar nature.

Mike’s lack of decorum and poor judgment as a board member of the Ironwood Crossing Homeowner’s Association culminated at a Town Hall meeting on March 1st, during which he refused to sit with the other board members at the front of the room, and appeared to display biased behavior by sitting with a group proposing the controversial community program being discussed. Mike even went so far as to advocate for allowing NON-Ironwood Crossing residents to attend OUR Town Hall meeting to support a controversial issue that directly affects OUR community.

During the course of that meeting he proceeded to speak out of turn, heckling a resident who had been given the floor to speak, and calling her a liar before the entire meeting. These outbursts resulted in him being admonished by the Moderating Board Member.

The time has come for the association members to say “enough is enough”, and to recall Mike from his board position.
