We, the undersigned residents and homeowners of Sunrise Pointe, are deeply concerned about the current state of our homeowners' association (HOA) and the negative impact it has had on our community's well-being. It is with great urgency and collective determination that we initiate this petition for the removal of the existing Board of Directors, including Elizabeth DeSouza, The Gansert Family Trust, Chienthang Nguyen, and Silvie L Plesim Living Trust, due to their evident negligence, incompetence, and lack of commitment to our community's best interests.

The following are the key reasons we believe a change in leadership is necessary:

Negligence and Incompetence: a. The current board has demonstrated a consistent pattern of neglecting their responsibilities and failing to address pressing issues affecting our community. b. Their lack of proactive measures and inability to effectively communicate and implement essential policies have resulted in the deterioration of our buildings and overall quality of life.
Lack of Community Connection: a. It has come to our attention that the current board members do not reside within our community, which makes it challenging for them to understand and empathize with our unique needs and concerns. b. By replacing the board with members who are actively involved in our community, we can ensure that decisions are made with a deep understanding of the issues affecting us.
Prioritization of Security, Safety, and Health: a. The current board has repeatedly disregarded matters pertaining to security, leaving our community vulnerable to potential risks and compromising the safety of our residents. b. Critical health-related issues have been neglected, leading to the degradation of our buildings and investments. It is imperative that these matters are given the attention they deserve to enhance our quality of life.
Our aim in pursuing the removal of the current board is to pave the way for positive change, rejuvenation, and improved community well-being. We envision a new board that will prioritize the following:

Enhanced Security Measures: a. Implementing measures such as improved lighting, surveillance systems, and the establishment of a community security committee to address safety concerns promptly. b. Collaborating with local law enforcement agencies to develop effective strategies for crime prevention and response.
Effective Communication and Transparency: a. Ensuring regular and clear communication channels between the new board and the community, including the establishment of town hall meetings, newsletters, and an online platform for residents' input and feedback. b. Maintaining transparency in decision-making processes and providing timely updates on ongoing projects and initiatives.
Proactive Maintenance and Health Standards: a. Prioritizing regular building maintenance, addressing structural issues, and promptly resolving health-related concerns to preserve our investments and protect the well-being of residents. b. Engaging qualified professionals to conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
By signing this petition, we express our unwavering support for the removal of the current Board of Directors and the establishment of a new board that will genuinely represent the best interests of our community. Together, we can restore security, safety, and a sense of pride in our community while promoting the overall well-being of its residents.
