Helen Hayden has long been known within our community for her outspoken comments, often belittling and insulting those who do not share her views. Her divisive attitude has caused distress and discomfort among many residents of Oberon.

The recent tragic car accident that claimed the lives of young members of our community has only intensified the need for accountability. While the community was grieving, Helen chose to make comments on social media about the tragedy that were nothing short of vile and utterly disrespectful. These comments, which I won't repeat here out of respect for the victims and their families, have been documented and shared with the council. They can be provided privately to those who wish to see evidence.

It's undeniable that Helen Hayden does not embody the values of respect, empathy, and solidarity that the Oberon community stands for. Her continued presence in a position of power is a misrepresentation of what we, as a community, hold dear.

Our community deserves a representative who upholds and respects the values we cherish. We cannot allow such disparaging behaviour to go unchecked and unchallenged. It is imperative for the dignity and harmony of our community that Helen Hayden be removed from her position as councillor.
