We call for the immediate removal of [Redacted] and teacher [Redacted] and Assistant Football Coach Donnie Allen from the Gillespie CUSD#7 School District. There have been multiple instances of alleged child abuse occurring within the sports coaching community and classroom at Gillespie High School at their hands. Victims and witnesses of these allegations have cited verbal abuse, physical abuse, influencing and coercing student athletes to act against other student athletes that have spoken out against the abuse, and attempting to limit the First Amendment rights of student athletes with threats and manipulation. 

These actions are a grave violation of the trust placed by parents and children alike in coaches and teachers. The American Psychological Association states that such abusive behavior can have long-term detrimental effects on a child's mental health. We must protect our children from these harmful experiences and ensure their safety within all sporting and classroom environments.

The Gillespie CUSD#7 School Board and School Administration have a duty to protect our children and provide a safe and healthy environment for students to learn and thrive in. Therefore, we demand that [Redacted] and teacher [Redacted] and Assistant Football Coach Donnie Allen be removed immediately from the Gillespie CUSD#7 School District. There have been multiple red flags and complaints, and the alleged abuse only continues to escalate.
