We the Parents and Community Members of the Evansville Community School District are petitioning our school board members to immediately remove our district Superintendent Laurie Burgos and High School principal Patrick Doty.

Parents and community members who are signing this petition feel strongly that Laurie has shown she in unable to lead our schools in a safe and healthy manner. With the addition of principal Doty this year, things have become seemingly more unsafe and out of control for students and staff. Parents have a right to know their children are safe at school, and staff have a right to be and feel safe as well. The lack of discipline and boundaries and proper reaction to safety occurrences on more than one occasion is enough for parents and community members to sign this petition and ask for better leadership for staff and students alike.

Declining enrollment shows an unhappiness in an otherwise growing community. We strongly feel our district deserves better than we are currently getting and are requesting a change in leadership immediately. We request this change now and to be immediate before something irreversible happens, something we fear is something that sadly could happen if quick action isn't taken.
