As a concerned Filipino citizen, it pains me to see our nation suffer due to the rampant corruption within the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The officials who are supposed to uplift our infrastructure and, consequently, our quality of life, have been involved in sordid acts that benefit their own pockets rather than the people they swore to serve.

Every day, hardworking Filipinos toil to provide for their families and fulfill their civic duties by paying taxes, yet these taxes do not significantly reflect in the infrastructure development we direly need. Instead, these funds are diverted to benefit a few individuals who have forgotten their responsibilities to the public.

It is deeply frustrating and disheartening to witness how these officials exploit the people's money for their luxurious lifestyles, ignoring the plight and welfare of the many who struggle daily to make ends meet. The roads remain riddled with potholes, the bridges are unsafe and deteriorating, and yet these officials continue to live lavishly at the expense of the Filipino populace's
This ongoing corruption in DPWH causes unending setbacks not only in our infrastructure but also in our national morale and trust in public institutions. It's time for a change. We demand the immediate removal of corrupt officials from DPWH. Their positions should be filled by individuals of integrity, who are willing and able to work tirelessly for the progress of our beloved nation.
