The Issue

We, the owners and residents of Highpointe Condominium, deserve honest, lawful, and professional management.

CMC Management has failed our community in the following serious ways:

  • Illegal Installation of Security Cameras: CMC installed security cameras and network cabling without proper DCJS licensing or necessary permits required under Virginia law.
  • Unauthorized Access and Evidence Tampering: Board members and unlicensed individuals have accessed and configured our security systems. Critical video footage related to an incident involving a board member has disappeared while surrounding dates remain recorded, raising serious concerns of tampering and cover-up.
  • Deception and Misrepresentation: CMC falsely labeled the system an “Access Monitoring System” only after legal concerns were raised, contradicting prior references to “security” and “surveillance” cameras in official communications.
  • Lack of Transparency: CMC ignore owners request to provide financial statements on $7,500 pay out to HOA board members.
  • Privacy Violations: Audio recordings were made in the management office without prior notice to residents, and signs were only posted after the issue was exposed.
  • Retaliation and Intimidation: Residents raising legitimate concerns have faced obstruction and retaliation instead of cooperation and transparency.

We, the undersigned, demand that the Highpointe Condominium Board of Directors:

✅ Hire a new, reputable management company with a proven record of compliance, transparency, and professionalism.
✅ Terminate CMC Management’s contract and remove them as managing agent for Highpointe Condominium.
✅ Remove existing camera systems, and engage a properly licensed DCJS security firm to reinstall building’s camera system under CMC cost.
✅ Hold an emergency owners’ meeting within 7 days to inform residents of the transition plan and steps being taken to protect our rights and property.

Highpointe deserves better. Join us in demanding the immediate removal of CMC Management to protect the integrity, safety, and value of our community.
