As concerned residents of Irvine, CA, USA, we urge the local authorities to take immediate action and relocate the cell towers located near schools, homes, playgrounds, and churches. This petition is personal to me because it directly affects our community's well-being and quality of life. 

Living in close proximity to any cell tower raises numerous health and safety concerns for our families. The constant exposure to electromagnetic radiation emitted by these towers has been linked to cancer. The City of Irvine has placed cell towers near homes, schools, churches, hospitals, and many populated areas without considering the danger of the radiation that is constantly emitted. 

In 2021, the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled against the FCC, pointing out that hat the FCC failed to provide a reasoned explanation for its determination that its current guidelines adequately protect against harmful effects of exposure to radio frequency radiation and failed to review the extensive scientific evidence. The FCC also neglected to acknowledge, let alone respond to, comments concerning the impact of RF radiation on the environment … Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Chairman and attorney on the case, has stated that the FCC and FDA appear to prioritize telecom industry profits over public health.

We understand the importance of reliable cellular service; however, we believe that alternative locations can be explored for these towers which would ensure both adequate coverage and minimal impact on residential areas. By relocating these cell towers away from densely populated neighborhoods like ours, we can strike a balance between technological advancements and public welfare.

We call upon city officials, local representatives, and relevant authorities responsible for overseeing telecommunications infrastructure within Irvine's jurisdiction to address this pressing issue promptly. We request their intervention in removing these current cell towers, while ensuring that an appropriate alternative location is identified for its relocation.
