Remove British MP Virender Sharma who wilfully insulted the SIKH NATION#
Why this petition matters

The British Labour party M.P. Mr Sharma attended the Southall Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Sikh Temple) election on the 2nd of Oct 2022 in West London, U.K. A few senior members of the Sikh community representing both East and West London asked him for his views on Sikh political issues within India. Mr Sharma was politely being asked questions about the plight of Sikh farmers in Punjab and many Sikhs who have unjustly had to serve long-term prison sentences in India. Mr. Sharma showed total disregard for these serious issues but then very coldly said that the situation in India should be left to the people in India. Mr Sharma was implying that questions relating to India should be directed to the Indian government only! The majority Punjabi Sikh diaspora living in West London voted for him specifically to deal with these issues. Everyone was surprised by Mr Sharma's response as the British Parliament has debates on political issues concerning India, especially when the Scottish Sikh blogger Jagtar Singh Johal (Jaggi) was imprisoned indefinitely, without charge, and allegedly has been tortured in India. Mr Johal has been imprisoned for five years without a fair trial. The MP Mr Sharma, became frustrated with the questions being asked and then began to raise his arm and finger-point aggressively; this was then followed by a direct attack on the Sikh identity; the M.P. was moving his hand over his face with a pretence act of repeatedly pulling a beard downwards in a very demeaning way, and then insulted the Sikh gentleman by saying (all in the Punjabi language) "You have grown a long beard" he then said and was implying "You do not become a Sikh by growing a beard", a nasty, sarcastic and racist comment, totally irrelevant to the questions put to the Labour Party M.P.
It seems clear that the Labour party M.P. Mr Sharma has issues with the Sikh nation and its identity. Sikhs believe that he has disrespected and insulted the whole Sikh nation. Mr Sharma's position as the Labour party M.P., representing Southall & Ealing west London, is untenable considering that most members within his constituency belong to the Sikh faith and are turban-wearing with long beards, the very Sikh identity he deliberately insulted.
