I am writing this petition out of personal distress related to the behavior of TikTok user Ash Trevino, an individual whose content has been laced with harmful racist remarks and bullying. Her actions are unacceptable given that TikTok is a platform dedicated to entertainment and creative expression, not a breeding ground for hatred or bigotry. Not only does her behavior go against the community guidelines of TikTok, but it also negatively impacts the mental health of the viewers, especially those who are at the receiving end of her actions. Furthermore, she has also demonstrated a concerning level of greed, often leveraging her digital platform to exploit financial gains unfairly.

We are not alone in this struggle. Numerous users and various anti-racism and discrimination organizations have voiced concerns about the rise of online hate speech and bullying. The Cyberbullying Research Center states that over 80% of teens use a cell phone regularly, making it the most common medium for cyber bullying. TikTok, as a platform frequented by millions of people every day, should not serve as a medium for prolonged hateful conduct.

In a world where we strive for unity and understanding, people like Ash Trevino who perpetuate hate and division, have no place in our communities - digital or otherwise. We therefore call for TikTok to take immediate action, and remove user Ash Trevino from its platform to maintain the community's safety, integrity, and overall wellbeing.
