The Issue

Liverpool Football Club is one of the greatest football institutions in the world — a club built on passion, unity, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. From the days of Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley to the unforgettable era under Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool has always stood for ambition, identity, and belief.

That is why so many supporters are deeply concerned about the current direction of the club under Arne Slot.

While every new manager deserves time and support, the performances this season have raised serious questions about whether Slot is the right person to lead Liverpool forward. The issues extend beyond results alone. Supporters have witnessed inconsistent tactics, poor in-game management, defensive instability, and a visible disconnect between the squad and the identity that made Liverpool feared across Europe.

The statistics paint a worrying picture. Liverpool’s Premier League win rate has dropped to below 47% this season, compared to nearly 66% during the previous campaign. The team is averaging just 1.63 points per game in the league — a significant decline from title-challenging standards.

Defensively, the problems have become impossible to ignore. Liverpool have conceded 18 goals from set-pieces this season — one of the worst records among teams competing in the top half of the table. At one stage, over 40% of the goals conceded by the club came from dead-ball situations, highlighting major organisational and tactical weaknesses.

There has also been a sharp drop in attacking efficiency. Liverpool’s expected goals (xG) per game has reportedly fallen from 2.45 last season to 1.84 this season — a decrease of almost 25%, showing a clear decline in chance creation and attacking dominance.

Perhaps most alarming is the inconsistency. Liverpool have suffered runs of just one league win in seven matches and, at one point this season, endured nine defeats in 12 games across competitions — described by some analysts as the club’s worst stretch in over 70 years.

Anfield, once the most feared stadium in European football, has become increasingly frustrated and disconnected. Supporters have voiced concerns through boos, protests, and growing criticism after repeated dropped points and uninspiring performances. This is not the Liverpool FC supporters have come to know and love.

This is not about impatience or unrealistic expectations. Liverpool supporters understand transition periods better than most. But this club cannot afford to lose its identity, competitive edge, and winning mentality.

Liverpool FC deserves leadership capable of inspiring players, energising supporters, and restoring confidence across the club. The next manager must understand the expectations, culture, and history that come with representing the Liver bird.

This petition is not driven by negativity — it is driven by love for Liverpool Football Club and concern for its future.

We call on the Liverpool board and ownership to seriously reassess the current managerial situation and take decisive action before further damage is done to the club’s progress, morale, and ambitions.

Liverpool is built on high standards. The supporters have always backed this club through every challenge, and now we ask the decision-makers to protect the legacy that generations fought to build.

If you believe Liverpool FC deserves stronger leadership, clearer direction, and a return to the standards that made this club great, sign this petition and make your voice heard.

Together, we can help bring Liverpool back to where it belongs.

You’ll Never Walk Alone.
