Remove Amy R. From management position in West Point Hills in Mattawan Michigan

I applied for housing at West Point Hills in Mattawan Michigan. According to West Point hills this home was move in ready. This would have been my first house by myself. Upon my walk through I noticed the bathroom floor was wet and the sink leaked. I told them and the next day with a repair guy from the park we looked at the trailer together. We discovered a electrical problem that cause the ceiling fan to start to smoke and pop. Outlets were left exposed and connecting walls had cracks in them. The bathroom is full of some kind of growth due to the neglected leaking sink. When I address my concerns all the park offered me is my money back, and to have an electrician come look at the trailer. The secretary became rude when I asked for different housing options for the same price as I had paid for the current lot. Instead the office staff became rude and interrupted me several times while tryin to explain the situation. I am now left with no housing and have to stay with family until I find suitable living arrangements. I feel like they took advantage of me because I’m young and thought they could get away with putting me in an unlivable home. They refused to let me have a inspector come and inspect the home and told me I can not get the last inspection paperwork for the home. I have never been treated this way by a place of business. How can they sell people property that they have neglected to take care of or even inspect before people move in? Throughout the past two days I have not been contacted at all by the owner of the park, after several attempts and voicemails. I hope no one els has to go through the hassle I just went through. The unit is 25150 on West Point drive it needs to be demolished because had these issue not been found my trailer could have caught on fire with me and my cat in it or I would have developed permanent health issues due to the mold all over the bathroom. This can not be the only issue within the park that has been left unattended. If the community members are held to a standard so should the staff and management. The park needs to be under new management that can fulfill the roles and duty’s of a park owner and business. If they are not able to do so they need to be removed. The park should be staffed with capable maintenance to fix issues properly and timely. If you or someone you know has had issues with West Point hills and manger Amy R. please sign the petition and meet at the city council meeting on Monday at 7pm.
