I am writing this petition with a heavy heart due to an incident that has deeply affected my family and me. Jenny, a city worker in our community of Eupora ,mississippi has wielded her position to harass my family in a blatantly racist manner. Her actions are not just about misuse of power; they are about perpetuating a system of fear and intimidation based on racial prejudice.

The situation escalated when Jenny's husband arrived at my home with threats of violence towards my family simply because we are Black. This is not an isolated incident but part of a troubling pattern that is indicative of broader systemic racism within our local government.

Racism has no place in our city's administration. City workers are meant to protect and serve all citizens equally, regardless of race, ethnicity, or background. The trust between the community and city officials has been shattered by such acts of discrimination, and it is crucial that we take immediate action to restore justice and uphold the values of equality and inclusion.

We demand a thorough investigation into Jenny's conduct as well as any other city worker involved in racist practices. Those found guilty of such behavior must be removed from their positions to ensure they can no longer misuse their power to oppress the very people they are supposed to support.

Furthermore, we urge the city administration to implement mandatory anti-racism training for all employees, establish clear policies against racial discrimination, and create a safe space for victims to report such offenses. It's imperative that the City of Charleston takes a firm stand against racism by adopting these measures, thereby preventing any future incidents.
