Remove All Predatory Employees from MassArt

Remove All Predatory Employees from MassArt
The Issue
The MassArt student body is currently facing a grave issue that threatens the safety and well-being of our community. The presence of predatory Resident Assistants (RAs) on campus has resulted in a pervasive atmosphere of fear and discomfort among students. These individuals, who are supposed to serve as trusted guides and protectors, have instead undermined our sense of security.
Numerous allegations have surfaced regarding certain RAs who have engaged in inappropriate and predatory behavior. This is not just a personal grievance; it is a matter of urgency that impacts the integrity of our educational environment. Predatory behavior from individuals in positions of power can have devastating effects on students’ mental health, academic performance, and overall campus experience.
Statistics show that college campuses with unresolved misconduct issues have higher dropout rates and lower student satisfaction scores. MassArt cannot afford to allow this issue to persist. We must protect our students and ensure a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning and creativity.
Immediate action is required to thoroughly investigate and remove any employees who pose a threat to the student body. We demand transparency in the process and the implementation of stricter vetting mechanisms for future hires. It is imperative that disciplinary measures are enforced without delay for those found guilty of any misconduct.
Join us in urging the MassArt administration to prioritize student safety over everything else. Let's work together to create a zero-tolerance policy for predatory behavior and replenish trust in the individuals meant to guide us. Sign this petition to push for actionable changes that will foster a safer, more welcoming campus environment for all.
