When my child started at Southwest Middle School in the beginning of this school year, I trusted that their experience would be an enriching and safe environment. Unfortunately, I was greatly let down by the leadership of the school's principal, Aaron McPherson. Under his leadership, we have seen horrifying incidents being overlooked, including a school shooting threat, prevalent bullying, and a lack of enforcement of basic school rules.

Many parents have shared similar complaints, indicating this is not a one-off experience but rather a dangerous trend. These students and their parents, upon reflection, believe that Principal McPherson's management style is deficient and does not foster an environment conducive for our children to thrive. 

The safety and welfare of our children cannot be compromised. We are of the belief that changes and improvements will only be made through the removal of Principal McPherson from his position. Parkway school district is held to a very high standard and Principal McPherson does not come close to reaching this standard.
