We, the undersigned, strongly believe in the capabilities of our city's leaders, but also in the importance of holding these leaders accountable for their actions. One such leader is Sadiq Khan, who has been serving as the Mayor of London since 2016. We believe it is time for a change in leadership. Various policies and actions under his leadership have left many citizens feeling dissatisfied. The terrible thought out vanity projects costing millions only for there to be a rise in knife crime – 15,023 offences recorded by the police in the year ending June 2020, the highest recorded since 2011 – is just one of these alarming issues (Source: Office for National Statistics, UK) and the ill thought out ULEZ zones which are hindering small businesses like plumbers and electricians the back bone of what keeps us ticking over. This a call for a leader who can better address the issues that London citizens deem important. Therefore, we petition to remove Sadiq Khan from his current position as Mayor of London.
