Dr. Petty, the current superintendent of Lodi Public Schools, was arrested for the assault of a few people at Seaside Heights. The Superintendent was on paid leave until the resolution of his court case but when all is said and done, he got off on account of a misdemeanor and his resignation was declined by the Lodi Board of Education. This entire ordeal has caused students to feel unsafe with the environment in school and is causing an already very low number of teachers in the school to also leave. We as residents of Lodi, New Jersey need to rally together and make sure that this man does not come back as out superintendent.
