In regards to Rosecroft Shopping Center in temple hills maryland managed by TSCG

I like so many others in the area want to see the community thrive. I have copied the property management team from Rosecroft TSCG to open a discussion about transforming the shopping center. The current condition of the plaza is run down, out dated, vacant shops, crowds loitering outside of the liquar and tabbaco store, eyesore signage. People are selling drugs/smoking marijuna in public etc. My family like many others in the community are afraid to shop their and often resort to traveling to Virginia. There is an assumption that it's in a low income area but that is not the case. There are several high income earners minutes away. Not to mention the future development of new single family homes from Transwestern

What the community proposes is to put measures in place no loitering/No smoking signs and enforce it.

 

Attached you will see some pictures as is. At the minimum power washing the building, updating fixtures, new paint, signage. 

 

Other shopping centers have added taller borders for signs and modern look and feel. (3rd attachments is an ideal vision).

 

Perhaps there is a county grant that can be offered to help with the funding to modernize the plaza. I have copied Angela Alsobrooks office (CEO).

 

An updated modern shopping center will attract quality tenants, higher income earners (tax base), families and improve the beautification and saftey of the community. 

 

(Anytime fitness, Pizza Franchise, Mediterranean Food, Ice Cream Shops, etc.)

 

I know it may be a lot to ask but this is something that often comes up in my Prince George’s County Community FB group with thousands of followers. This will be a mutually beneficial game changer for sure.
