Remind the Philippine Government about their "Animal Welfare Act 8485 1998"

Remind the Philippine Government about their "Animal Welfare Act 8485 1998"

The issue

1. An estimated twelve million stray cats & dogs in 2019 has only increased, apart from their suffering are public health risks of rabies & other diseases. Government pounds need to regularly coordinate with animal welfare groups regarding 'control methods' and animal welfare. Prevention equals free or subsidized neuter/spay programs. Limit, inspect and approve dog and cat breeders.

2. Make the dog meat market illegal along with animal sacrifice in the Supreme court Ruling. The Philippines is the only country in Asia to have Christianity as a national religion. Animal abuse and sacrifice is is unethical and anti Christian.

3. Close or improve Philippine zoos; reports of tigers, lions and monkeys being chained up, underweight and stressed for profit is troubling.
