This has been year 2 in the current console generation and many still haven't been able to purchase a Playstation or Xbox due to chip shortages brought on by the pandemic. Is this the reason for what many believe is a current gaming market without any new IP or exciting games so far this generation? I can't answer that. 

What I can answer is that we live in a time where the entertainment industry is filled with countless remakes and reimagining of things that we as consumers don't even ask for the majority of the time and frankly aren't even needed as the originals usually stand the test of time. 

While classic games that still hold up today are being remade (Dead Space, Last of Us, Horizon Until Dawn etc.) without really checking with the consumer to gauge market interest, there are many that actually deserve to be introduced back into the market that have been forgotten.  

The Resistance series by Insomniac Games is one that constantly comes up in gaming circles as one that needs to be remastered.  Groundbreaking for its time and a story that can still resonate to the world today needs to be introduced back into this current console generation.  I ask that whoever took the time to read this, let your voice and signature be recognized and hopefully those at Insomniac Games and Sony Computer Entertainment will finally listen to us, the consumer for a change.  Thank you.
