Hey all,

i’ve started this petition to see that the 1980s classic British series “Dodger, Bonzo & the Rest” gets released officially for DVD or at least through online streaming. The show has been neglected & has only resurfaced through poor vhs recordings of 7 episodes(of 13 episodes) & the pre-series pilot episode being part of a now out of print DVD. It’s mostly become lost media thanks to the missing 6 episode first season.

Please share with those who grew up or were around in the 80s & might actually remember this show.

Listed as one of the most popular shows in it’s time, the show follows a scheming brother & his sister growing up in a care home and was infamous for the cast’s cover of “Our House” by Madness. I discovered the show after I watched Press Gang’s restoration(starring one of the same actors) & I think it would be great to see it restored & preserved as all classic television & film should be.

I understand there are way more important things in the world & it’s likely i’ll be lucky if this gets more than a handful of signatures but at the very least, I hope it inspires you to reach out to companies & get your own favourite classic shows rereleased too.

This petition is aimed at distributers holding rights or with the ability to obtain the rights to show that there would be at least some interest in the property long after it’s heyday to make it worth the time fixing the 30+ year old footage for a rerelease & paying license fees for the iconic theme song.

I didn’t grow up with the show but I believe if people who did saw this petition we might have a chance of making it happen! Thank you for reading & signing if you have, it means the world to a fan of 80s media like myself.
