To the Directors of Hasbro Pty Ltd and Paramount Pictures,

As a qualified member of Gen X growing up in the "heyday" of the Generation 1 Transformers cartoon series I must formally request an end of the debauchery that the modern Transformer movie series originally directed by Michael Bay and Produced by Don Murphy has become!! 

The crossing over of timelines and characters within the new movie series has become an absolute farce which although entertaining for new younger millennial audiences, treats your contemporary gen x mainstays with which your empire became relevant with a deep contempt. 

Although new directors and producers have become involved, teaser trailers for upcoming movies reveal the same level of confusion with an iconic product and a clear lack of understanding as to the importance to the originality of the highly successful product that the Generation 1 Transformers Series was in cartoon history.

The closest character representation of the original G1 Transformers was in the BumbleBee 2018 opening scene but these depictions did not have the polish of the Michael Bay inspired film series which unfortunately made a of mockery of the original lore.

Whilst we can appreciate the improvements in modern cgi and computer rendering the modern age offers, we would as traditionalists enjoy if these skills could be focused on an original unadulterated script so that we can enjoy "progress" without destroying "traditional" ideals which were instilled into a generation creating an iconic franchise which embodied the imaginations of generations of children with some now approaching their mid forties!!

We request that Takara Tomy, Hasbro and Paramount Pictures commit to an epic undertaking of the iconic animated "The Transformers : The Movie 1986" with the modern cgi and computer rendering techniques to recreate the original classic scene by scene with an unedited script and soundtrack, staying 100% true to the original in a non-animated format expressing the modern character styling demonstrated in the Bumblebee 2018 movie opening scene directed by Travis Knight and exhibiting the effects polish in Transformers series of movies directed by Michael Bay and Produced by Don Murphy.

This children's cartoon movie was watched by millions of now adults and would draw countless members of the Gen X middle class fraternity who now have extended families purely for nostalgia's sake!! 

We challenge Hasbro and Paramount to do something entirely improbable in today's modern society. That is to respect the classics and accept that some scripts can't and shouldn't be attempted to be improved on in the memories of people. Generation 1 Transformers is one such example and should be respected in their artistic content and that the progression of technology can only enhance certain aspects which were limited by their time. 

You should recognize that as the consumer base upon which the Transformer empire started to be built on, you have misappropriated our culture for the sake of political inclusivity & diversity, financial budgetary restraints, which has ultimately resulted in the franchise losing most resemblance to the original series storyline.

You have this opportunity to show that you actually listen to your audience and are not just a bunch of money driven, narcissistic, egotistical, self absorbed sociopaths who can't see past their own ideas and agendas to extract financial gain from your customer base to "improve" an already successful franchise.

If you are capable of reproducing this movie in a non animated format which will stay true to the original series lore the only problem you are going to have is how to produce a more popular sequel!!
