Important Reasons Why This Matters

Tanisha and my only Grandson has been pushed into crisis through housing decisions that failed to properly consider their safety, health, and basic human needs.

Tanisha is a great mother and my daughter,  who has been diagnosed with mental health, and my only grandson were relocated outside of London to Leicester, despite her being due to begin essential mental health counselling.

This move disrupted her access to care, her accessibility to her two daughters in the authority's care, and from the support she needed to stabilise herself.

My grandson has been cut off from family. He has no other family in Leicester except for his mother.

This has broken his bond with his two older sisters, aunties and uncle and I .

The last time that Urijah (grandson) has seen family in London was March 18th 2026.

I am asking Enfield Council to do the right thing, which is to reassess Tanisha's case in the light of the evidence placed before them from all the assessments that they themselves requested.

Enfield council has documented evidence on Miss Ford regards the diagnosis for mental health.

  • overlook these responsibilities.

What I am  calling for?:

We are calling on Enfield Council and housing authorities to:

  • Urgently review relocation decisions that have caused harm or disruption
  • Ensure mental health needs and ongoing treatments are fully considered before relocation

Your support and signature matters.

This petition is about accountability. It is about dignity. It is about ensuring no family is left without support, safety, A VOICE.

Please let us stand up for changes.       Sign this petition to demand fair treatment for housing decisions and real protection for families.

P.s.

The Main Law:  UK Government Homelessness Code Guidance states:

 "Accommodation must be suitable."

"The Suitability of location must be considered."

" Authorities must, so far as reasonably practicable secure accommodation within the authority's own district."
