As someone whose garden borders this bustling play zone, I experience firsthand the proximity issues that arise daily. While I appreciate the joy and laughter resonating from the playground, the noise levels can sometimes be overwhelming. It's not just me; other neighbours share similar concerns about privacy and noise. This park's current location doesn't allow children the space to play freely without encroaching upon our private spaces.

Imagine the play area relocated to the open space on the western side of the recreation ground. This new location would offer children ample room to enjoy while maintaining the tranquillity of nearby homes. 

According to local planning guidelines, recreational spaces should balance community enjoyment with resident peace. By moving the park westward, we create a win-win situation: children retain a safe, expansive area to play, and residents can enjoy their homes without constant noise intrusion.

Moreover, this is an ideal moment to implement such a change. The council is currrently consulting on plans to upgrade and refurbish the play area, meaning the relocation could be incorporated into the existing works with minimal additional cost.

In light of these compelling reasons, I urge the Elmbridge Borough Council to consider this proposal seriously.
