The residents of Primrose, Jarrow need your help in ensuring the safety of our children. There is a known sex offender who is due to be released from prison prematurely, on or around the 5th of May, 2025, after serving only half of his 16 year sentence. The troubling fact is that this person is set to live in an area surrounded by 7 nurseries, 9 primary schools, 2 comprehensive schools, 2 parks playing fields and the dene putting our children's safety at a grave risk. Judge Bindloss  in the offender's case branded him "as high risk of serious harm to children"  making it contradictory that he is permitted to reside within such close proximity to schools. Statistics show that over 60% of sex offenders reoffend (Department of Justice, 2003 report), and we should not risk the safety of our children by allowing him to live nearby. We call on our local government, MP's Kate Osbourne , Yvette Cooper and Jess Philips to reconsider the place of his post-incarceration residency. Our children's safety is at stake.
