Right idea, Wrong Location - Lets get the planning right!

Dear Supporters,

Due to a technical glitch, our original petition was mistakenly marked as “victory” and is no longer accepting signatures (trying to address but it is taking time). But our work is not done — we’ve launched a new petition focused on lobbying City Hall and Queen’s Park to halt the proposed shelter at 2204–2212 Eglinton Avenue West and 601 Caledonia Road. This petition is different. We are no longer just raising concerns — we are now challenging the planning and zoning changes head-on. We support efforts to house vulnerable people — but not at the cost of transit-oriented growth, local business confidence, and good planning principles. This proposed shelter location: 

• Contradicts the Eglinton Connects Plan and MTSA zoning goals

 • Sterilizes or severely reduces the development potential of adjacent lots

• Offers no proper community consultation 

• Risks long-term damage to our area’s revitalization and livability
