Relocate the Proposed Homeless Shelter in Loveland to a More Suitable Location

The Issue

The announced plan to establish a homeless shelter at 2000 N Lincoln Ave, Loveland has raised significant concerns among local residents. With the proposed location being in the heart of a residential, we believe the city can find a more effective and less disruptive location for a facility that has such a noble cause at heart.

The present proposal lacks adequate consideration of the impact on local businesses, property owners and families. A more suitable location has been identified. The mental health facility at 2260 W. Trilby Road, Fort Collins 80526, offers a solution. Collocating the homeless shelter with this facility will ensure the required support services are immediately accessible, and create a more holistic support system for those in need.

Along with relocation, we are suggesting that the city explores cost-free bus transportation to and from the shelter, thus making it easier for the homeless population to access the facility while avoiding increased pedestrian traffic in residential areas.

As a community, we believe in helping those less fortunate - but we insist that it be done in a manner that considers the welfare of all involved. We kindly ask everyone to support this effort to find a more feasible solution for our homeless community members. Please sign this petition so we can present our collective voice to the City of Loveland.
