I have personally witnessed the unsettling consequence of their location. Friends and neighbors have shared stories of being harassed by individuals under the influence of drugs who often frequent these places. This unsettling environment has, unfortunately, led to a shocking 99% increase in theft and other criminal activities within the CBD, a statistic that's as heartbreaking as it is unacceptable.
It's critical to acknowledge and support the valuable work that Fred's Place and Agape do for individuals in need. However, their current location in the CBD is not only impacting local businesses and residents but also not serving the individuals they aim to help in an optimal way. Increased foot traffic and close proximity to public spaces make it easier for illegal activities to take place under the guise of seeking aid.
