I am a resident of the riverland, Australia and this issue is personal to me. As someone who understands the difficulties faced by disabled individuals in our community, I see a pressing need for change. Many of our fellow citizens struggle with mobility issues that make it challenging for them to navigate through grassy areas. Walkers get stuck and scooters are unable to drive on grass.

Our local market is currently situated in an area where these problems are prevalent. This makes it difficult for some members of our community to access the market, limiting their ability to participate fully in local life.

Relocating the market from its current location on grassy terrain, to be at lake front along the foot path would significantly improve accessibility for everyone, especially those with disabilities. The footpath provides a smooth surface that can be easily navigated by walkers and scooters alike.

According to Australian Network on Disability (AND), over 4 million people in Australia have some form of disability. That's 1 in every 5 people; hence this isn't just about a few individuals but about ensuring inclusivity for all.
