Release Patch’s Bodycam Footage

Release Patch’s Bodycam Footage
The Issue
On December 11, 2021 Christopher “Patch” Sterusky was sleeping in his car after a long shift at work when his vehicle was approached by Officer Detrick Cooper of Elizabethtown Police Department. The details of what occurred next are unknown as Elizabethtown Police Department as well as Kentucky State Police (the department that is in charge of the investigation into the incident) are hesitant in releasing any information or evidence from that night. On December 11, 2022 it will mark a year that KSP and EPD have withheld the bodycam footage and any details into Chris’s case. The investigation is said to be “on going” but EPD has allowed Detrick Cooper back to work with a complete disregard to the safety of the public and at the risk of this situation reoccurring. They have also allowed him to start training with the SWAT Team. Officer Cooper, Kentucky State Police and Elizabethtown Police Department are complicit in hiding any evidence as well as the body cam footage related to the case. Chris Sterusky was a son, a brother and a friend. The lack of accountability and the complete disregard for a human life is 100% ridiculous and unacceptable. Christopher was an articulate, intelligent, educated young man. He was selfless and genuine and immensely loved. This petition has been started for further push Elizabethtown Police Department as well as Kentucky State Police to stop hiding & to release Christopher “Patch” Sterusky’s bodycam footage. The Sterusky Family as well as this community want answers and we want justice. Please show your love& support for Patch and the Sterusky’s as they fight for justice by signing and sharing this petition.
