In November 2021, our family was devastated by the sudden loss of our healthy 32-year-old son. The cause of his death remains undetermined due to an incomplete autopsy, a situation exacerbated by the lack of communication and failure to follow protocols by the organ procurement organization (OPO). Shockingly, we discovered that tissues and organs were removed from our son without the medical examiner's consent. This unauthorized action has not only impeded the autopsy process but also hindered our quest for closure and justice.

Our story is not unique. Many families across the country have experienced similar situations where OPOs have acted without proper authorization or transparency. This lack of accountability is unacceptable and needs immediate attention.

We are calling on you to support us in urging our judge to order this OPO to release all donor records related to our son's case. These records are crucial for conducting a comprehensive second autopsy that could provide answers we desperately seek.
