The Issue

My stepdad, Andres, was unexpectedly detained by ICE in Dayton, Ohio, due to an error in their system. He is currently imprisoned because of a supposed order of deportation, which he does NOT have. When my mom’s attorney presented the correct information to the authorities, proving the mistake, they claimed they would not release him, continuing his unjust detention. Andres is not only a father but a good person overall. He’s the type of person to help anyone in need. Andres has been in my life for 6 years and has helped me more than most my biological family. He’s the dad that always makes sure you got what you need. Whether it’s food, clothes, a ride or even a new car. He’s the dad walking his stepson to the bus or cooking him breakfast before he leaves for work. He’s the dad that holds his daughter while she cries, or lets her do his makeup. Andres is the dad that most want but don’t have.

This is not just a matter of correcting a bureaucratic oversight; it's about reuniting a family torn apart by an incorrect system record. Andres is a compassionate and hardworking individual, contributes positively to our community in Ohio. He does not deserve this treatment, and the mental and emotional toll on our family is immeasurable.

Countless others could be facing similar dire situations, victims of systemic errors and misinformation. I urge you to be a voice for change and help correct this grave error by asking for his immediate release.

By signing this petition, you support justice for my stepdad, Andres and hold ICE accountable for rectifying their mistake swiftly. We implore the authorities to review proof of his pending case and allow our family to heal. Please join us in this crucial fight for justice, humanity, and truth by lending your signature today.
