My husband name is Craig Anderson he’s 63yrs old, and he’s currently incarcerated and his health is rapidly deteriorating due to inadequate medical attention. This is deeply personal to me, as I love him dearly and remember how attentive he was to his health when he was home. Now, he's not getting the medical care he desperately needs while he is behind bars. The situation is critical.

He suffers from a multitude of health issues, including chronic severe pain that requires the use of a back stimulator, which he cannot adequately charge due to restrictions in the prison environment. He also lives with lung disease, heart disease, and severe sleep apnea, for which he relies on his CPAP machine. Arthritis tormenting almost his entire body adds to his daily struggles.

The urgency of his situation extends beyond these ailments. His need for regular testosterone shots, which he hasn’t received since April 2025, further exacerbates his health decline. Additionally, three doctors have recommended cataract surgery for him, yet this critical surgery remains unaddressed.

Incarceration facilities are currently short-staffed, leading to further delays in medical treatment. This results in inmates being able to see doctors only sporadically, if at all. Such systemic inefficiencies are life-threatening for someone with complex medical needs like my husband.
