Release my dad from ICE custody
The Issue
On the morning of July 29th, our lives were turned upside down when my dad was taken into ICE custody. My father is a dedicated, hardworking man who has spent the majority of his life in the United States, yet he was unable to secure residency due to the complexities of immigration laws. He has not committed any crimes; he is a good, honest man who deserves the right to continue supporting his three children and wife.
My dad's story is one that resonates with many families across America. It's about a man who contributes to society, works diligently to provide for his family, and who embodies the values we hold dear in this country. Yet he has been caught in the web of an immigration system that does not always recognize the human impact of its policies.
According to the American Immigration Council, the average wait time for family-sponsored immigrants ranges from five to twenty-three years, leaving many families, like mine, in a state of uncertainty and fear. Families are being torn apart, and the emotional and economic toll is devastating. We must address these issues with urgency and compassion.
We urge ICE and the relevant authorities to review and reconsider my father's case with empathy and fairness. Our goal is to see him reunited with his family, where he belongs, without the looming fear of deportation. We ask for humanity and justice to guide this decision.
Please join us in calling for my father's release from ICE custody. Add your name to this petition and help us bring him home. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who are unfairly detained and separated from their families. Sign this petition today and stand with us in solidarity for a fair and just immigration system.
