Relax requirements for installation of a drop curb

Relax requirements for installation of a drop curb
The Issue
The requirements for being allowed a drop curb in Bedworth & Nuneaton council areas is far to rigid and is not reflective of wether a vehicle can be safely parked off-road.
The rules should be relaxed so that if a motor vehicle can fit in any orientation: standard, sideways or diagonally, then permission should be granted to have a drop curb installed.
This will reduce the number of cars parked on the roadside making the streets safer for pedestrians and all road users alike.
As we move towards "Electric Vehicles" becoming standard we must allow for more driveways to be installed. This will resolve charging issues and dangerous cables trailing across the pavements which could lead to serious injury and costly legal battles.
A reoccurring rejection reason is that "a future persons vehicle may not fit on the drive even if yours does now". This approach makes zero sense as not only is it about future hypothetical policing, but there are vehicles now which exceed the current length requirements that could be placed on a driveway as things stand.
Changes need to be made so that more drop curbs can be installed so that we all can move with the times, both from a health & safety perspective and to help tackle climate change!
