Like me, you might feel left out from the democratic process when our votes haven't been cast and yet, the decision is seemingly made for us. The Democratic party establishment is edging towards giving Kamala Harris the nomination, despite no votes having been quantified in her name. This runs contrary to the democratic spirit of political participation and decision making.

We belong to a nation that prides itself on upholding the principles of democracy. The concept of 'one person, one vote' is at the core of our democratic system and should not be dishonored. It is crucial to make sure that all candidates are elected based on the votes cast by party members, not solely on the decisions made within the party.

We need to remind the Democratic party that they exist to represent the will of the people, not to make choices on our behalf. It is paramount for the sanctity of our democratic values that the process remains transparent, inclusive, and truly reflective of the popular vote.
