As residents of Timberville, Broadway, and Rockingham County, Virginia, we are deeply concerned about the proposed solar farm project at 15628 Lone Pine Drive. This project, spearheaded by Summit Ridge Energy and Dominion Energy, poses significant risks to our community and environment, compromising the health and well-being of our families and future generations.

The installation of this solar farm threatens to destroy the pristine soil quality and disrupt the surrounding wildlife habitats, causing irreversible damage. Our community takes pride in the natural beauty of our farmland, which not only serves as a source of local produce but also as a testament to our agricultural heritage. The proposed location is in proximity to Plains Elementary School and several residential neighborhoods, raising concerns about potential health risks to our community. 

Moreover, the development of the solar farm could lead to a decrease in property values, affecting the financial security of all landowners in the vicinity. This project will also detract from the scenic beauty of our town. 

We need to protect our environment and leave a healthy legacy for our children and grandchildren. It is our responsibility to ensure that our community remains a safe and beautiful place to live.
