Rowan Ranch (Mary's Creek Development) CALL to ACTION: Folks first I want to thank you for caring for your neighborhood over the past year. I have met so many of you in this and you all have inspired me.

However, I need to ask you to please, please email the mayor and City Council Members if you are in fact concerned. With almost 500+ people in this collective group, I have heard that they have received less than 20 emails. Numbers matter, they really do. We need your help, I need your help! I hate asking but I fear our voices won't be loud enough. This will take action to defeat.  They will be voting in August. (Date not posted yet.)

I am happy to help lead, educate and yell your concerns. But I and the others who are helping cannot do this alone.

I love this neighborhood and collective communities around me because we watch either backs and look out for one another. As your fellow neighbor, I am asking for help. Please take 5-10minutes and email. I am posting their emails and a templates . It can be short and to the point.

I am personally going to meet with all of them in person. If you are so willing ask to do the same.

From a Resident Living on the Creek (to City Council)
Subject: Urgent Concern from a Creekside Resident – Mary’s Creek Floodplain Development
Dear [Councilmember’s Name],
I live directly on Mary’s Creek, and I am deeply concerned about the proposed development along the floodplain. Our homes are already at risk—this year’s flooding made that painfully clear. The land in question acts as a natural buffer for runoff, and removing it puts my family and others in harm’s way.
I urge you to reconsider any approval of this development. The city must protect its residents, not developers who are already millions in debt and under investigation.
Please hear the voices of those who are most directly affected. This isn’t just about housing—it’s about safety, accountability, and common sense.
Sincerely,

From a Resident in the General Neighborhood
Subject: Protect Our Community – Say No to Floodplain Development

Dear Council Member,
As a resident of Benbrook, I’ve always appreciated the thoughtful development of our city. But this proposed project along Mary’s Creek deeply troubles me. The area is already prone to flooding, and the recent rains have only highlighted how fragile this watershed is.
Allowing this project to move forward feels like gambling with our community’s safety and infrastructure. I’m asking you to stand with your citizens, not outside developers who are prioritizing profit over people.

Thank you for your leadership and service. Please don’t let this project become a disaster waiting to happen.
Respectfully,
[Your Name]
[Neighborhood or General Location]
