Reject Judge Edward Chen's Decision on TPS 2023 Designation for Venezuela

Reject Judge Edward Chen's Decision on TPS 2023 Designation for Venezuela
The Issue
As a deeply concerned American citizen, I am driven to call upon my fellow citizens and legal residents to join me in rejecting the decision made by Judge Edward Chen of the Northern District of California court in San Francisco. This decision involves the revocation of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) 2023 designation for Venezuela.
For far too long, the TPS has inadvertently evolved from a temporary shield into a quasi-permanent status. The decision to revoke the TPS for Venezuela in 2023 is a decisive step towards rectifying this issue. We support the government of the United States and the Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem in her decision to cease TPS, aligning more closely with the national interests of the United States.
Our objection to Judge Chen's decision is based on the understanding that the prolonged TPS has had several socioeconomic impacts on the United States. The presence of hundreds of thousands of people remaining in the United States under TPS affects millions of Americans and legal residents in various areas of employment. In addition to the crimes committed against Americans that led Congress to create the Laken Riley Act.
A responsible direction is needed now more than ever to realign TPS with its intended purpose – a temporary measure for those unable to return safely to their home countries due to compelling reasons. This position does not disregard the fact that some of these residents have called America home for many years. Still, it highlights the need for an effective immigration system that offers a proper route to legal status for such individuals.
Take action today and support the revocation of TPS designation for Venezuela in 2023 as a firm step towards a better, more consistent immigration system. Please sign this petition to voice your concerns and make a difference in this issue. "WE THE PEOPLE"
