> The Nobel Peace Prize honors those who advance peace, justice, and human dignity. Awarding this prize to former U.S. President Donald J. Trump would not only dishonor this legacy but also embolden policies and actions that have caused global suffering and instability.

During his presidency, Trump:

Ordered the assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in Iraq, a move that escalated regional tensions and risked a wider conflict in the Middle East.

Abandoned key international agreements such as the Paris Climate Accord and the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Threatened military action against Iran and supported authoritarian regimes.

Provided unconditional support to Israel’s military actions in Gaza, disregarding civilian casualties and humanitarian concerns.

Defunded humanitarian aid to Palestinians, worsening the humanitarian crisis.

Fostered white supremacist violence and refused to denounce extremist groups within the U.S.

Incited divisions and violence culminating in the January 6th insurrection on the U.S. Capitol.

Awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to someone responsible for such destabilizing actions would deeply undermine the prize’s integrity and disrespect those who truly strive for peace worldwide.

We call on the Norwegian Nobel Committee to reject any nomination of Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Peace is earned through unity and justice—not through violence and division.
