The proposed project includes 15 buildings which include 651 private residential units, approximately 175,000 square feet of office, retail, restaurant and grocery store space, 2,442 parking places of which 70% is underground.
According to the staff report to the Planning and Zoning Board,
“The applicant is proposing a construction phasing plan that contains five phases to be constructed with the seven year time frame…”
“the proposed development application must demonstrate compliance with the applicable standards and design criteria for projects in the Central Beach area and SBMHA zoning district. The intent of the SBMHA zoning district is to promote high quality destination resort uses that reflect the character and quality of the Fort Lauderdale Beach, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the marinas that have been developed to the north and south of Bahia Mar.”
